Transit Technician – Vehicle

Western Management Group (operators of the Las Vegas Monorail) seeks experienced Transit Technician – Vehicle.

The Transit Technician – Vehicle is responsible for performing corrective and preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and adjustments to all train “monorail” systems and components of an electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic nature. Repair or replace defective parts utilizing manuals, drawings, specs, or other written or verbal instructions. Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of electronic and/or mechanical experience, or equivalent technical school training
• Must have excellent electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to maintain detailed records of troubleshooting and repairs
• Ability to work holidays and weekends
• Valid Nevada driver’s license Must be highly dependable
• Must be able to communicate in written and spoken English (for safety reasons)
• Ability to work day/swing/night shift
